Hangar Superintendent

Excel are looking for a Hangar Superintendent to play a vital role in managing the performance of all maintenance personnel and operations on behalf of a global leader within VIP and chartered aviation. This position will be based in the east of England; you can expect to be working Monday to Friday on a 40-hour working week with the occasional requirement to undertake additional hours.

Whilst holding senior responsibilities, this position will be hands-on with the aircraft whilst leading and supporting the engineers in your team.

In line with the job title, you can expect to carry out the following tasks:

• Oversee all scheduled and unscheduled aircraft maintenance through effective task delegation to the Engineering Team.
• Liaise with the Technical Services Department and Engineering Manager to ensure seamless coordination and operational excellence.
• Ensure all work carried out under your supervision complies with regulatory and company standards.
• Maintain control and uphold performance standards of the Engineering Team in accordance with company procedures.
• Manage resources to ensure maintenance inputs are appropriately staffed and supported.
• Handle day-to-day staff administration, including scheduling, performance management, and team development.
• Ensure Stores procedures are followed accurately and approve spares required to support maintenance activities.

As expected, we have some requirements that will need to be ticked off before the job is yours. We will require you to hold a full EASA/CAA license, preferably this will include type ratings on the Bombardier Challenger and/or Global aircraft. In return for your impeccable profile, our client is offering a basic salary of around £88k with additional allowances for your qualifications and experience.
